Combatting water ingress: Underground solutions.
The infiltration of water into underground mine workings poses a range of significant challenges.
When introduced into the strata for either preventive or remedial purposes, the low viscosity mixture retains a liquid state for several seconds. It infiltrates the smallest fissures and cracks, where it subsequently undergoes expansion, solidification, and efficient consolidation.
This process effectively seals the treated zone, providing a comprehensive solution to mitigate the adverse effects of water ingress in underground operations.
